"The Altar of Homelessness," is my title for this scene on the quai of the River Seine. Unemployment is a major problem facing developed countries undergoing the impact of economic globalization. France is no exception and in spite of its good security programs, many end up homeless and seek their shelter on the streets. In France "Homeless" is called "SDF" (Sans Domicile Fixe) that is "Without any Fixed Address."
